1. The Pick-up
Your designated driver will pick you up from your desired location in Izmir and you will start your journey to the Agora Open Air Museum.
2. Agora Open Air Museum
The word “Agora” etymologically means city square and marketplace. In line with this, the area where the open-air museum is located right now was a great gathering place back in the 2nd century A.D. and it is situated in a very close place to the city centre according to the Hippodamos city plans. The agora contained both trade shops and public buildings for governmental purposes. Most of the structures were renovated by the order of Marcus Aurelius after the great earthquake in the year 178 A.D.
After seeing Agora Open Air Museum, you will head to Akropolis Ancient City in Bergama. The ride to Bergama will take around 1.5 hours.
3. Akropolis Ancient City (Bergama)
Akropolis Ancient City is divided into two main parts, the upper part contains palaces for kings and commanders while the lower part is for the common folk and public buildings such as temples and the gymnasium. You can visit the Athena Temple, Zeus Altar, Bergama Library, Pergamon Theatre, and many more structures that are preserved since the Hellenistic era in these lands.
After Akropolis, you will be travelling to the Aliaga region for lunch and 2 hours of free time. The ride to the Aliaga region will take around 45 minutes.
4. Lunch at Aliaga region and free time (up to 2 hours)
Aliaga is a beautiful region in Izmir with lots of places to see and things to do. You can visit Kyme Ancient City, see the Aliaga Bird Paradise Park which houses over 100 different bird species, go for a challenging hike and reach the great Ucansu Falls. You can also enjoy the regional delicacies in one of the many cafes and restaurants in the region.
After the Aliaga region, your designated driver will drop you at your desired location.
