1. The Pick-up

Your designated driver will pick you up from your desired location in Istanbul and you will start your journey to Eyup Mosque.

2. Eyup Mosque

Built-in 1459 by the order of Mehmet the Conqueror, Eyup Mosque is one of the most important mosques in the Islamic world since it is home to the tomb of Prophet Mohammed’s flagbearer Eyyub El-Ensari. The original structure was damaged in an earthquake, which resulted in the construction of the mosque we see today in the year 1800. The tomb is visited regularly by believers of Islam and it is believed that prayers and wishes made in the tomb come true.

3. Fatih Mosque

Built by the order of Mehmet the Conqueror after 10 years from the siege, the Fatih Mosque is located on the grounds where once stood Hagioi Apostoloi Church. This is interpreted by historians as the declaration of a new belief in the region. The mosque was built as a social complex with soup kitchens for the less fortunate, schools, libraries, Turkish baths, and hospitals inside. The complex was also known as one of the largest structures to be built until its day.

4. Eminonu New Mosque

Known as the last of the large mosques built by the Ottoman Dynasty, Eminonu Mosque, also known as the Valide Sultan Mosque was built by the order of Safiye Sultan. The mosque is also known as one of the longest ones to complete with a 65 years span of construction. The mosque is located right by the sea and decorates the beautiful silhouette of the Bosporus.

5. Ortakoy Square and Ortakoy Mosque

Ortakoy Square is a very popular and central part of Istanbul, you can visit the many stores, cafes, and restaurants, take a walk on the Ortakoy coast with a wonderful view of the Bosporus.

Ortakoy Mosque is arguably one of the most iconic mosques in Istanbul with its waterside location. Also known as the Buyuk Mecidiye Camii (Grand Imperial Mosque), the structure was completed in 1856; though small from the outside, the inside of the mosque is very spacious. You can also see calligraphy art created by sultan Abdulmecid I, who was a very skillful calligrapher.

Can our driver join our visit to attractions and tell us about the places we see?

While our drivers have local knowledge of the areas of visit, they are not qualified tour guides. The drivers will readily wait for you in the vehicle while you visit attractions.
