The half-day sightseeing tour package includes the below steps, but you can customise your trip by letting your driver know which places you want to see. Your driver will be knowledgeable about the areas you will be visiting, so you can also ask him for a little info about each of your stops along the way. 1. The Pick-up

Your designated driver will pick you up from your desired location in Bodrum and you will start your journey to Rock Tombs with a 30-minute drive.


2. Rock Tombs

The Rock Tombs of Bodrum are engraved into high rocky hills. Presumed to date back to very early ages, the tombs are naturally preserved to this day, though they are not under any preservation initiative by the government or any other related institutes.
After Rock Tombs, you will be heading to Dibeklihan Village with a 20-minute ride.


3. Dibeklihan Village

Dibeklihan village is known as an arts and crafts village. The small and warm town has many boutique shops that produce trinkets, pottery, ceramics, accessories and silk products. There’s also a small courtyard in the village for concerts and gatherings. The town is viewed as a tribute to the many cultures which existed in these lands, with symbols and engravings of various civilisations adorning the street walls. Dibeklihan also has one of the most beautiful landscape views you can witness in the region.

After Dibeklihan, you will be heading to Myndos Gate with a 30-minute drive.


4. Myndos Gate

Known as the entrance of Halicarnassus City, Myndos Gate’s origin dates back to the 4th century B.C. The door was built by the order of King Mausolos and known for holding off the forces of Alexander the Great.

After seeing Myndos Gate, you will head to Pedesa Ancient City with a 40-minute drive.


5. Pedasa Ancient City

Pedasa is one of the oldest and most well-preserved ancient cities in the region. Dating back approximately 3.500 years, the city contains ancient city walls, tombs, castles and the Temple of Athena. Excavations still continue in the site and new discoveries are being made each year by the archaeologists.

After Pedasa, you will be heading to Bodrum Sea Museum with a 20-minute ride.


6. Bodrum Sea Museum

Bodrum Sea Museum is an ideal place to see the many types of boats used in fishing and transportation in the region throughout modern times. The museum offers a wonderful experience to discover how the people of Bodrum have established their relationship with the sea and became one with the nautical life.

After Bodrum Sea Museum, you will be heading to Bodrum Castle with a 10-minute ride.


7. Bodrum Castle

Now standing as a peninsula, Bodrum Castle is located on what used to be an island in ancient times. The peninsula has two large coves and harbours on either side. The castle was originally built as the castle of the knights of St. Jean between the years 1406 – 1523.

The castle has 5 towers, with the French Tower being the highest one with an almost 48-meter height. A mosque was added to the castle’s structure once the peninsula was conquered by Suleyman the Magnificent in 1522.
